python-genetic software package provides genetic algorithms in Python, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-genetic
python-genetic is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-genetic package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-genetic *
You will get with python-genetic package name, version, architecture and description in a table
